February 2010
Both the Bristol Hot Rods and Castle Combe Circuit enjoyed the variance of displaying hot rods at the circuit, and both have expressed an interest of having the Bristol Hot Rods revisit the circuit.

So, not to miss out of that, I have invited the guys and their wonderful machine to attend the August event again this year.
As the Bristol Hot Rod calendar is more of a 'this may interest you' and not a formal gathering, we will have to see what the summer brings hot rod wise. There was a large event happening on the same day as the 2009 Tuition and Track Day which gave reduced numbers, but I must say those that did attend were quite a special treat!

The 2010 Tuition and Track Day has now been added to the Lancia Motor Club event calendar, click HERE for more details.

The Mini Cooper Register has now confirmed their attendance at the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club's Castle Combe Tuition and Track Day.

The MCR and their wonderful Mini Coopers have been part of the event for many years, and now bring a mix of orginal Coopers and modern day BMW Mini models to the day. The guys bring their cars all the way from Essex and some use the on-site facilities at Castle Combe to camp over night the day before.
The day is also listed on their events calender. Click HERE to visit the 'whats on' page of the Mini Cooper Register website

The 2010 Castle Combe Tuition and Track Day gets a mention on our friends the Bristol Motor Club events page on their website, click HERE for more details. The Bristol Motor Club and the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club have been friends for more years, with a number of repeat entries from the BMC to the event every year.
January 2010
The
Lancia Motor Club and the Dolphin Motor Club have contacted me with regards to participated in the 2010 Tuition and Track Day. The Lancia Motor Club have confirmed that they intend to purchase a few track tickets (tickets go on sale to non BPMC members on May Day) and that they would like to display some on their lovely Lancia cars in our paddock area. So we are in for a nice treat already.

The Bristol Pegasus Motor Club adverts for the August event are going into both the Lancia Motor Club's Viva Lancia! magazine and the Dolphin Motor Club's Dolphin News Magazine.

Prices are set for the 2010 Tuition and Track Day of £123.00. Prices are the same for Bristol Pegasus Motor Club members as for non BPMC members, but with the incentive that BPMC member tickets will go on sale on Easter Monday while the non BPMC members will go on sale on May Day.
December 2009
The Bristol Pegasus Motor Club and the Castle Combe Tuition and Track Day get a mention in the Bristol Hot Rods piece in the December "Street Gasser" magazine
.
The article looks great in full colour using track side and on track photographs from the 2009 event. As Phil Mitchell mentions, it's nice to see hot rods doing something other than being photograph while parked in field.
November 2009
Castle Combe Motor Racing Circuit clarifies and updates the regulations for the 2010 Tuition and Track Day by confirming "that the day is run as a 'Car Track Day' and therefore all cars must be silenced to 100 dba which is measured at 0.5 metres from the exhaust pipe at 3/4 max revs - all cars must have road tyres and be to MOT standard therefore no slick tyres are to be allowed. The Blue Book is only used for race meeting scruitineering.
These revisions will be in place for the 2010 Track Day and will simplify the wording on the booking form and regulations. In 2009 we had just two entries that brought slick tyres.
October 2009
The date for the 2010 Bristol Pegasus Motor Club Tuition and Track Day is confirmed by Castle Combe Motor Racing Circuit of Saturday 14th. Mark your calendar now!!
